Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

Student safety is priority. Please support by following the procedures shared by the school and staff to ensure students, staff, and families are arriving and dismissing safely from school.

Supervision begins and school gates open at 8:15 a.m. Students walk to classrooms upon entering campus. All students must enter campus through the front office after the gates close at 8:30 a.m.

We lock perimeter and pedestrian gates during school hours.

The gate at the northwest corner of the 700 building which allows students to access the parking area from Copper Cove and Tolleson Meadows closes and locks at 8:30 a.m. Students will need to enter on Van Buren St. after the gate locks. The gate along the east fire lane which allows access to students crossing VanBuren St., San Lucas apartments, and Tolleson Meadows (East) opens at 8:15 a.m. and locks at 8:30 a.m.

Arizona Desert implements a dismissal program, Driveline. We will dismiss all students picked up from school to families with a Driveline sign provided by the school. We will dismiss students walking home after Driveline has ended. If families lose or misplace their Driveline sign, they must visit the front office with valid identification to receive new Driveline signs. We encourage all families picking up students to enter the driveline rather than parking. Families may walk to pick up students, and they must have a Driveline sign in hand.
